Wedding invitation suites: invitation, RSVP and details card

An invitation suite is the set of cards that travels in one envelope. Ours has three: the invitation, the RSVP card for replies and meal choices, and the details card for hotels, travel and your website. In the suite, one personalizer holds all three. Type your details once and switch cards with the tabs. It costs $15 per design, against $20 for the three cards bought separately.

Four designs, six palettes each

Olive Grove is botanical and airy, and Meridian is modern and minimal. Copperplate is classic and formal, and Wild Pampas is warm boho. All four come with six color palettes plus your own color, and two layouts for every card.

A wedding invitation sample comes with every download

Besides the personalizer, every invitation includes a ready-made filled example and a blank version as PDF and JPG. The example shows how a finished card reads. The blank keeps the artwork and fixed wording for hand lettering or a quick start.

Formal wedding invitation wording, written out in full

The personalizer lets you choose how the date and time are written. You can spell them out, as in “Saturday, the twelfth of June” and “four o’clock in the afternoon”, or use plain numbers. It has fields for the hosting line, the invitation line and a closing line. Copperplate, with its engraved look and crest monogram, is our design for black-tie and evening weddings.

Fall wedding invitations: Wild Pampas and Copperplate

Wild Pampas, with dried pampas and terracotta, is drawn for late summer and autumn. Copperplate suits autumn and winter evenings. Both have deeper palettes, such as Cinnamon and Mustard, or Burgundy and Antique gold.

Wildflower wedding invitations in Wild Pampas

Wild Pampas draws wildflowers, fan palms, bunny-tail grass and pampas plumes in an inky terracotta around a soft sand arch. On the details card a single wildflower stem sits beside the text.

Digital wedding invitations: send the JPG of your card

The personalizer also saves the card you see as a JPG at its exact size and 300 pixels per inch. A 5 × 7 card is 1500 × 2100 px. You can send that image to guests yourself by email or text. We offer no hosted sending and no online RSVP collection. The RSVP card has a line for your own wedding website if you use one.

How it works

You buy a personalizer, not a finished file

  1. 1Choose and buyPick the design and the pieces. Checkout is by Stripe.
  2. 2Open your personalizerYour download link arrives by email right away. Open the personalizer from the folder in Google Chrome on your computer.
  3. 3Make it yoursType your names, date and wording once. Every card updates as you type; change the colors or the layout if you like.

The personalizer

Type it once. Every piece follows.

Your details live in one place. In a set, a single personalizer holds every piece: switch between them with the tabs. Save backup carries your details to any other piece of the same design.

  • Your names fitLong names and extra lines are fitted within limits. If something still does not fit, the page says which field before the download.
  • Six palettes or your own colorOne click recolors every piece. Type any color: a color too light to read on white paper is refused, a slightly light one darkened.
  • Two layouts for every pieceFor example corner sprays or a crest on the Olive Grove invitation.
  • Download PDF, at the right sizeMade inside the page at the right size for US Letter or A4, or as single cards for a print shop, so there is nothing to scale. Print at Actual size (100%).

FAQ

Questions couples ask

How to write a simple wedding invitation?

A simple wedding invitation needs a hosting line, your names, an invitation line, the date and time, the venue and a closing line. Our personalizer starts from a filled example with those fields, such as “Together with their families” and “Dinner and dancing to follow”. Replace each field with your own words and watch the card change as you type.

What do I write on a wedding invitation?

Write who is hosting, your names, the invitation line, the date and time, and the venue with its address. A closing line tells guests what follows, for example dinner and dancing. On the back of our invitation there is room for a short note and a monogram from your initials.

How should I write the date on my wedding invitation?

Formal invitations usually spell the date and time out in words, while relaxed ones use numbers. Our personalizer offers both styles, from “Saturday, the twelfth of June” to plain numbers. You pick the style once and the card sets it for you.

How far in advance should wedding invitations be sent out?

Wedding invitations usually go out six to eight weeks before the wedding. The RSVP date is often three to four weeks before it. Save the dates go out earlier, often six to eight months ahead.

Should wedding invites be 4x6 or 5x7?

Most wedding invitations are 5 × 7 in, and smaller sizes such as 4 × 6 suit reply and details cards. Our wedding invitation is 5 × 7 in, printed front and back. It prints two to a US Letter or A4 sheet. The RSVP card and details card in the same suite are smaller, so they fit in the same envelope.

Are digital wedding invites a thing?

Many couples send a digital wedding invite by email or text, often next to a printed card. Our personalizer saves your invitation as a JPG at 300 ppi, which you can send yourself. We do not send invitations for you or collect replies online.

Is it cheaper to buy or make wedding invitations?

Making invitations from a template costs the template plus paper and printing. Our invitation is $8 and the invitation suite $15 per design. You print at home on cardstock or take the single-card PDF to a print shop.
